Bamboo is stronger than wood when in fact it is not wood, but a species of grass. There are more than 1200 species of bamboo in the world. These chopsticks were made with 'Moso' timber bamboo which is neither a food source nor a habitat for the Giant Panda.

It has an extensive root system that continually sends up new shoots, naturally replenishing itself. It needs no replantings, grows without fertilizer or pesticides and is biodegrable, even compostable so there's zero waste.
