Natural Hot Water Bottle - buckwheat hot/cold pack blue

Ideal for concentrated on-the-spot soothing therapy, these eco-friendly hot/cold packs are shaped like the traditional hot water bottle but instead of water, are filled with premium hypoallergenic whole buckwheat seeds that retain heat or cold for up to 30 minutes. Warm in the microwave or chill in the freezer as required. These hot/cold packs are flexible when frozen and huggable when heated. The seeds are contained inside a 100% cotton liner then covered with a super soft plush cover that is easily removed for machine washing. This pack also includes an optional aromatherapy sachet filled with the warmly soothing combined scents of vanilla, lavender and sandalwood. Presented in a lovely chocolate brown gift box with floral detail.

Reusable, non-toxic and hypoallergenic with a machine washable cover. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low or spot clean. Do not use bleach. Do not wash liner/filling.

Our natural hot/cold packs are specially designed to be heated in the microwave or chilled in the freezer for soothing temperature therapy. They're filled with whole buckwheat seeds. Buckwheat seeds are the fruit (or achene) of the buckwheat plant (fagopyrum esculentum). The seeds posses the special property of retaining transferring heat/cold for up to 30 minutes.

For Heat Therapy: Place on a clean ceramic or glass plate and microwave 20 seconds. If not warm enough; continue heating in 10-second increments until comfortably warm. Do not overheat, and always touch test before using. Do not heat in a conventional oven. When re-heating cut your heating time in half. Ideal for treating: cramps, cold feet & hands, stiffness, headaches, sore muscles, arthritis pain, aching joints, tension & anxiety.

For Cold Therapy: Seal in a plastic bag and place in freezer for 2 hours or more. Can be stored in freezer. Ideal for treating: sprained or strained muscle, joint pain, bruises, insect bites & stings, swelling & inflammation.

For Aromatherapy: Tuck the sachet inside after heating or chilling. Remove sachet before reheating. Scent will diminish with use. To refreshen scent, place a few drops of your favourite essential oil onto the sachet. Do not microwave sachet.
