Stainless steel is one of the safest materials for food storage and handling. It is an alloy made from natural elements: iron ore, chromium, silicon, nickel, carbon, nitrogen, and manganese. The final metal has differing properties depending on varying amounts of these elements.
LunchBots are manufactured from high-quality, food grade Type 304 stainless steel. Stainless steel has great resistance to stain or rust due to its chromium content making it the material of choice for food processing, dairy and brewing. Stainless steel is easy to clean, durable, and sanitary.
Media says:
"And if you need storage for snacks rather than lunches, look no farther than the
LunchBots Pico.
A two-sided 100% stainless steel right down to the coloured lid, which
is coated with a non-VOC finish, we’re finding our Pico a perfect size
for snacks. In fact it’s so handy that we’ve purloined it for
ourselves. LunchBots also has a range of different sized containers
that are perfect for snacks, wraps and sandwiches. They are best for
solid food however, they’re not waterproof."
