To clean the tea glass: hand wash in warm, soapy water. Do not use in the microwave.
The thermal double wall construction of the Travel Tea Glass has a healthy glass interior and a polycarbonate exterior for on-the-go durability. It keeps hot tea warm and cold tea cold.
This portable tea cup keeps hot tea warm for about one hour.
The filter is a fine mesh - ideal for rooibos and herbal teas.
The stainless steel tea filter is surrounded by BPA-free polypropylene as is the lid's interior.
The lid will fit directly onto the tea glass if you decide to omit the filter connector after steeping, or choose to use the tea glass for a non-tea beverage.
Two ways to use the tea glass:
LIME TIP: Use caution with boiling water. Allow a brief cooling period (2-3 minutes) prior to twisting on lid. The build-up of steam can compromise the seal resulting in 'spraying' or leaking to occur.
1. Remove lid and tea filter, add 2-3 grams of loose leaf tea to the glass. Replace filter, add hot water and allow the tea to steep.
2. Step 1 - Remove the lid and filter; carefully add hot water to below the rim of the tea glass. Twist the filter on securely; add 2 -3 grams of loose- leaf tea on top of the filter. Wait 2-3 minutes prior to twisting on lid so steam pressure does not force a leak upon inverting. Step 2 - After a brief cool down period, twist on the lid securely and slowly turn the glass upside down to steep the tea. Step 3 - Twist off the lid and filter together. Enjoy.
Spent tea leaves remaining in the filter can be reused.
